Our third anniversary

It's a bit hard to believe but it has been three years since we opened Focus - A Vermont Gallery. The world was just coming out of the Covid lockdown and people were still nervous to intermingle. The gallery that was previously in the space had closed in March and I saw the building sit empty for a few months. I had a small photo gallery in New Jersey that was on its last legs thanks to Covid and Woodstock is a much better location so I decided opening here might be a good idea.
I talked to fellow photographers Bob Wagner and Ron Lake about joining me in the venture and after several meetings and running numbers through spreadsheets we decided to go for. What better time to start a new business than the middle of a pandemic?
It turned out to be a great decision and great timing. Many people were relocating to Vermont or spending more time in their second homes here. Many others were tired of looking at the same old stuff on their walls and knew that changing a little art could make a big difference.
We were off and running strong from the day we opened. We feel lucky to be part of a great community and we have met many wonderful people during our first three years. Of course we like when people come in and make a purchase but seeing faces filled with joy as they browse the gallery is very rewarding.
We are constantly adding and changing the gallery and hope you stop by again soon. We plan on being here for many more years.
