I’m intrigued by water in its various forms, especially when it is changing from a solid to a liquid. As the Ottaquechee River was melting in Woodstock, VT, rivulets formed in the snow and ice as melting water flowed to join the rest of the river. It was late in the day and the color of the deep, clear blue sky was reflected for only a few minutes in the ice while little patches of snow remained white. It is magical moments like this that make me thankful that I am able to witness nature in its many forms and preserve something like this that no other person saw.
